Titan the 8Ft Robot is back!
The Hub announces the Launch of street@thehub - The
National Street Entertainers Competition… a fantastic day out for
all the family
The best street entertainers from across the country will convene at The Hub, Milton Keynes, to showcase and dazzle the crowd with their exceptional talents in street@TheHub, The National Street Entertainers competition.
The competition will take place in the outdoor Piazza at The Hub on the
last Saturday of the summer months kicking off on 30th
May, 11 am – 3.00
pm with the Finale on 26th September.
The extraordinary Titan the Robot, the 8’ robot
and international star of street entertainers, guaranteed to shock and thrill,
will be making a grand appearance to officially launch the competition – check
him out on You Tube. And the competition will be compered by the hugely popular
street entertainer, Tim Bat, described by writer
Ian McEwan as “A demon genius
of hilarious dexterity”.
Members of the public will be invited to vote for their favourite street
entertainer at each round, with the winner from each of the monthly heats
going forward to the grand finale on Saturday 26th September.

Restaurants at The Hub will also be holding a unique food market in the Piazza
and there will be plenty of extra activities laid on for the kids including
giant jenga, Connect 4, tin can alley and much more.

had it all!
Hundreds of people came to The Hub and basked in the sun drinking and eating al fresco whilst being entertained by some of the country’s top street entertainers at street@thehub.
The National Street Entertainers competition got off to a dazzling start with star performances from Titan the amazing 8ft Robot, Jason Maverick showcasing his unique illusions and the very original street magician Bob Percy all adding to the atmosphere and ambience in The Hub, the home of street entertainment in Milton Keynes.
The competition, compared by the hugely popular street entertainer, Tim Bat, will take place in the outdoor Piazza at The Hub on the last Saturday of the summer months with the next event on Saturday 27th June.
Titan pulled the most votes, as he was the ‘special guest performer’ for this inaugural event, he will be invited back to the final.
The judges, including members of the public, next voted Woody The One Man Band and Matt The Statue who both tied as their favourite street entertainers and will now go forward to the grand finale on Saturday 26th September.
