TheHub:MK is proud to announce Hair Host a new salon to Milton Keynes is opening Tuesday 15th November. Hair Host’s highly creative team of hair stylists and colour technicians opened their first salon in Buckingham in 2015 where they have gone from strength to strength, including selection by London Fashion Week for the last 5 years running. TheHub:MK will be their second location.

Led by Rebecca (Salon Director) they have grown in numbers. Rebecca says: “When we opened Buckingham there was just 4 of us and no clients. Today there are 18 in the team and nearly 4,000 clients frequently visiting our Buckingham salon.” She added: “The time felt right to open in Milton Keynes as there were so few salons in Central Milton Keynes, and we were lucky to secure such a terrific location in a prominent area of The Hub. We have completely stripped the building and have put everything in from new, so it is a beautiful, modern environment. The Buckingham team has been strengthened recently and we will split our time between Milton Keynes and Buckingham, meaning we always have the experience and our unique culture across both sites.”

Hair Host is proud to partner with label.m for all their cleansing & conditioning products and Goldwell for colour treatments. Rebecca says: "Our relationship with Goldwell is fairly recent, but label.m is a longstanding one, and we launched with their range in 2015. Partly because myself and many members of the team (Sasha, Lydia, Lauren, Danica & Nicholas) are ex Toni&Guy - so understand the product range well - but importantly, as a partner, it gives us unique access to the prestigious London Academy for ongoing training and professional development, meaning our cutting techniques and styling is always up to date. Label.m have recently relaunched with an exciting new range, many of which are organic and suitable for vegans allowing each client to have a personalised hair care routine to create beautiful healthy looking hair.

Goldwell was chosen because we found it less harsh for some people wanting colour – many who had skin tests with other products reacted to them, but many of these people have now successfully had a treatment with Goldwell colour products. Lydia (Creative Director) says: Goldwell offers a really exciting colour range for us. As a company, Hair Host are always looking at ways to reduce our waste and the unique way of storing Goldwell colour products has meant we are producing less waste already, and we’re in talks with a company who can recycle the Goldwell canister and our used foils, meaning we hope soon that 100% of waste produced through a colour treatment can be recycled.“

Sasha (Salon Director) says: “I will be managing with Rebecca the day-to-day activities in the Milton Keynes salon, but we’ve a strong, experienced team around us, as well as new Assistants we’ve recruited especially for Milton Keynes. It is rewarding to see us create new roles in Milton Keynes and hopefully train young people and take them through to become qualified hairdressers. We’ve had a lot of success here already at our Buckingham salon. Milton Keynes will be able to accommodate 14 customers at once and we have laid it out in a very open and relaxed way, with lots of space so you won’t feel crammed in. We hope to see you soon! We always offer a 30-minute free cutting/colour consultation, so why not pop in and have a chat with us in the first instance?”
