Congratulations to Sweat Studios!

We want to say a massive congratulations and well done to the team at Sweat Studios for taking top spot at the Milton Keynes Business Achievement Awards on 9th March.

Successful yoga centre Sweat Studios, based at The Hub, scooped the winners title after beating off 19 competitors at the Milton Keynes Business Achievement Awards 2017, held at The Ballroom, Hilton Hotel, Stadium MK.

In fact, March has been a month of celebrations for Sweat Studios, who are celebrating their third birthday as well as reaching the final in the Buckinghamshire SME Awards in the Best Business in Milton Keynes category. They will discover their fate at a glistening awards ceremony at Double Tree by Hilton Hotel on Thursday, March 30.

Kirsty Lowe, director, said: “This year the judges had a record number of entries and we were up against some tough competition from the other finalists.

“We are delighted to be named the Best Small Business in Milton Keynes in the 2017 MK Business Achievement Awards and to be a finalist in the Buckinghamshire SME Awards.

“We want to thank our customers for their ongoing support and helping us to grow a thriving independent local business. We couldn’t do it without them!”

Commenting on Sweat Studios, judges at the MK Business Achievement Awards said: “This company has brought a new approach to a traditional exercise and lifestyle to the people of Milton Keynes.

“By stripping away the mysticism that can confuse, and sometimes obscure the benefits of yoga they offer a vibrantly new interpretation which is helping this fast-growing company improve the health and wellbeing of many Milton Keynes citizens.”

Sweat Studios, was opened by Kirsty Lowe in March 2014, who first discovered the benefits of yoga 18 years ago.

After quitting her job as a marketing head in an investment bank Kirsty qualified as a yoga teacher and set about opening a studio that offered the friendly, approachable and no-nonsense experience to yoga she enjoyed but struggled to find.

Kirsty said: “I am hugely proud of what we’ve achieved over the last three years. The people of Milton Keynes have really taken to Sweat and what we’re about, which is demystifying yoga and promoting a better body inside and out.”

Sweat Studio has become so popular that Kirsty said around 500 people visit a week.

Classes take place in a state of the art, temperature and humidity controlled studio.  Sweat specialises in hot yoga which boosts  muscle dexterity and detoxification and delivers a cardiovascular workout.  However, the studio also caters to those looking for gentler classes and recently added Mindfulness to its timetable to promote overall health and wellbeing.
